Become a Member

The Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company is always looking for new members, and joining is very simple. Stop by the firehouse, preferably on a Tuesday evening, fill out an application, and that's it. The membership process usually takes about a month, as your application will be read in front of our members at our monthly business meeting, but you are more than welcome to join the fire company on training sessions and monthly drills. This is also a great opportunity to meet with our members and acquire the basics of how the fire company works.
Members who are not firefighters are trained at the Warren County Fire Academy. Probationary members are considered full active members upon completion of WCFA's Firefighter I course.

Junior Firefighter Program

Tri-County is also accepting applications for our junior firefighter program. This program allows teens 16 and 17 years of age to join and gain an early advantage on training and learning. There are some things a junior firefighter cannot perform until they turn 18 years old, but that shouldn't hold back on the advantages of joining.
Junior firefighters can begin training at the Warren County Fire Academy. Once a junior member turns 18 years old, they can be fully trained and become a certified firefighter and full active member of Tri-County.

Requirements to enter into the Tri-County Junior Firefighter Program:

1. Junior member must reside in our response area (Mansfield Township)
2. Junior member must have no criminal background

Anyone interested in joining the Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company can call 908-852-1310 or stop by the firehouse on any Tuesday evening.
